We are looking for an Applications Technician for a position with a financially stable and well known, large non-profit organization in Seattle. Position Summary:Responsible for the implementation, configuration, and support of global enterprise systems which may include one or more of the following: business applications, back office technologies, communication and collaboration systems, infrastructure, servers, storage, networks, databases, and web-based platforms. Work on project teams to deliver new systems and capabilities. Interact with customers and across teams to provide technical support, incident management and resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). Investigate system or project issues, define remediation strategy, serve as tier-2 escalation for other technicians, and escalate incidents as necessary to tier-3 technicians, engineers or vendors.Key Duties and Responsibilities:• Collaborate across multiple teams to configure systems solutions to specified requirements. • Prioritize, plan, and perform application and platform system changes, support, maintenance and enhancements.• Triage, investigate, and resolve system issues and incidents escalated from lower support tiers. • Communicate and coordinate with customers and IT stakeholders the severity, estimated resolution time, final resolution and after action report for major incidents. • Continuously improve system and application performance, automation, operations and processes.Qualifications:• Minimum 2 years of Application Technician experience. • 3+ years’ experience in a technical support role in an information technology related group• 2+ years of in-depth experience with MOSS 2007 and Office SharePoint Server 2010 administration SharePoint experience in the following: - Resolve technical issues as a Tier 2/3 (client side/server side support) technician for SharePoint - Triage related system bugs & issues and assist with the maintenance of core SharePoint system functionality• Experience supporting multiple network and web applications, server farms, local, SAN and cloud storage, alerting and operational monitoring systems, video delivery systems, social media systems, network and personnel security systems, and internet websites, extranet and intranet, including both internally managed and vendor managed hosting. • Knowledge, understanding, and demonstrated experience with system development lifecycle and IT Service Management methodologies.• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise class solutions that integrate multi-tier applications across a global infrastructure.• Excellent customer support skills & experience
