Description:
Our client, located north of downtown Fort Worth, is looking for a BI consultant for a short-term assignment (2 mos or less) to help establish a Business Intelligence Roadmap for their Engineering department. Candidate should have a background in Business Intelligence, Dashboards, Analytics and systems architecture. Consultant will come in and quickly assess thei client's environment (hundreds of reports across dozens of systems reaching thousands of users) and provide recommendations for a successful information delivery environment. NOT looking for someone to design reports or tools, but rather to help them establish a framework within which those tools can operate most effectively.
They prefer that the Resource be tool agnostic. The Resource won’t be designing the product or the end-state solution, but will serve more in a capacity of Consultant to help develop the roadmap and best practices for a dashboard/business intelligence implementation.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have an excellent grasp of Business Analytics including second-order concepts of self-service, on-demand, collaborative, predictive, and social analytics.
Experience in applying business analytics in one of more business domains including supply chain, sales and marketing management, after sales, customer care, pricing management, etc.
Experience working with one or more industry leading product stacks in business intelligence: SAP BI, MSFT BI, Oracle OBIEE, IBM Cognos, JasperSoft, Pentaho, etc.
Experience of architecting & deploying high performance and scalable Business Analytics solutions
The candidate will lead and pilot solution engagements at clients providing SME overview across clients for cross functional integration and industry knowledge & Help customers visualize the end state vision through Proof of Concepts and pilots.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working with one or more industry leading product stacks in areas of MDM, Data Quality, Data Integration, Operational Reporting, etc.
• Experience in large data integration initiatives with backend enterprise applications/ data sources like ERP, CRM, and other legacy applications
• Ability to start and lead large engagements from scratch
• Strong desire to further knowledge in relevant technologies
• Up to date with latest technology and business trends in Manufacturing and Hi-Tech sectors
Experience with Sharepoint is a plus.
