We are looking for a capable and skilled carpenter to join our team. You’ll take direction from the project manager to help construct and maintain strong and long-lasting buildings and products. You are great at reading blueprints and have excellent hand dexterity, with a can-do attitude. Responsibilities: • Check existing sketches and blueprints to understand project requirements• Ensure roofing, floorings, and drywall are compatible and level• Calculate, shape, cut, and smooth materials• Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and fix structures• Carpentry Work : Execute all aspects of carpentry work involved in residential remodeling projects, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, door and window installation, and custom woodworking• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and follow construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of design plans• Material Selection and Procurement: Assist in selecting appropriate materials and supplies for each project, ensuring compatibility with design requirements and budget constraints. Procure materials as needed, maintain inventory levels and track usage• Precision Measurements: Take precise measurements and make accurate cuts to ensure a proper fit and finish for all carpentry installations• Structural Integrity: Ensure the structural integrity and stability of all carpentry work, adhering to building codes and safety standards• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including project managers, subcontractors, and clients, to coordinate project timelines and deliverables• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, employing creative problem-solving techniques to achieve optimal outcomes• Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in all carpentry work, conducting thorough inspections and addressing any deficiencies promptly to ensure client satisfaction• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any deviations from the original plan Qualifications: • Strong physical condition and excellent hand dexterity• Proficient in carpentry tools, techniques, and materials• Precise measuring and math skills are required• Must have valid driver’s license• We prefer if you have a high school diploma or GED• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on residential remodeling projects• Carpentry Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and finish carpentry. Experience with custom woodworking is a plus• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to residential construction• Tools and Equipment: Proficient in the use of carpentry tools and equipment, including power saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring devices. Own tools and reliable transportation are required• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship and precise installations• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently to keep projects on track and within budget• Physical Stamina: Good physical condition with the ability to perform tasks that require manual labor and work in various weather conditions• Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others, with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices• Professionalism: Professional demeanor and a strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and to the highest standards of quality Compensation: $25 - $29 hourly About Company: J.
