Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

Description:
Job responsibilities and duties include:Design and evolve the architecture for the query layer that powers Claris product suite and platform.Learn and contribute to all aspects of the data platform, from extracting and ingesting data from external systems to modeling, transforming, and managing large volumes of data at rest and in motion.Collaborate with junior engineers, technical leads, and architects to set and maintain high standards of engineering excellence.Write scalable, robust, and fully-tested software for deployment in mission-critical production environments.Create and improve tooling and processes to help reduce development friction and enable greater productivity across the development organization.Design and build reusable data integration APIs for the data lake with optimal storage, compute scale, and observability.Build and accelerate our No-Code auto-ETL system to process millions of auto-generated workflows processing billions of records daily.Collaborate on product ideas and experiences to maintain a high bar of operational excellence. This position does not supervise other employees. Minimum Requirements:Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related field of study and 3 Year(s) of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s). Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:Java backend development in one or more of these areas - building data, APIs, Microservices, Cloud integration products.Experience using design patterns and best practices.Experience using AWS or similar cloud technologies.Testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, JMeter or JbehaveExperience with either relational or non-relational databases.Apache Beam, Spark, GCP Dataflow, Datastore, BigQuery, MySQL, Kafka, Redis.
