Credit Associate, North America Strategy & Research, Credit Strategy and Standard The key function of the role is to provide analytical, statistical, research and logistical assistance to the Credit Strategy & Research team, which provides thought leadership on emerging credit risks, leads cross-sector research and helps drive alignment within the rating agency around the factors that drive credit risk. Responsibilities Undertake economic and credit research and quantitative analysis related to macroeconomic, financial, policy and credit topics to support research publications and credit analysis, including on topics such as key US policy changes, elections, trade, consumer and labor market trends. Prepare economic, public policy and financial spreadsheets and presentations Assist in the drafting and visualization of macroeconomic data analysis, public policy analysis and thematic research publications Support internal reviews of credit trends Support the US Strategy & Research function in monitoring and analyzing regional trends, macroeconomic developments, policy changes and country-specific economic, fiscal, and political developments Assist with drafting public policy, macroeconomic, consumer sector and credit conditions outlooks and memoranda and related documents Assist managers and senior analysts with ongoing and ad hoc projects on policy-related, macroeconomic, financial and credit risk topics Lead and project manage internal newsletters and memoranda Adhere to applicable codes of conduct, policies, procedures, and best practices. Qualifications Strong academic background - graduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Economics, Public Policy or Finance Exhibits good communication skills and can articulate ideas clearly; Displays excellent interpersonal capabilities Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Additional Experience Familiarity with US public policy and the US economy; Public policy and macroeconomic research and analysis experience or relevant credit research experience preferred Strong knowledge of macroeconomic principles Quantitative and data analysis skills Strong MS Office skills: principally Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with a programming language is desirable. Experience with data visualization For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$78,500 - [[$113,750, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
