Michael Baker International is seeking an IT Vendor and Asset Manager (ITVAM) to join our Corporate Technology organization. The IT Vendor & Asset Manager would be accountable for the strategic management of IT vendors, software, and hardware within the organization. This position provides management for all asset purchases, software licensing, technology contract management and negotiations from all areas of the IT department. This position manages the procurement team to timely manage all aspects of IT hardware and software procurement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Develop and implement IT asset management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. * Responsible for accurate and up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts. * Negotiate and manage enterprise relationships with vendors to ensure the best value for IT assets including Quarterly Business Review (QBR) coordination and Executive Briefings. * Accountable for analyzing asset usage and performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved efficiency, and process improvement. * Accountable for the overall purchase and accounting of the company hardware, software, and cloud services. * Responsible for the personnel management of the IT Procurement team. * Provide oversight, advise and counseling to IT department staff with relation to equipment use, implementation, training agreements, support, and long-term maintenance. * Negotiate contracts for hardware/software support agreements purchased by the company. * Manages software licenses, vendor contracts, and hardware assets for entire organization * Track and renew hardware and software maintenance agreements * Negotiate contract Terms and Conditions, including costs * Identifies savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services * Works with the IT support team in the development of enterprise-wide IT purchasing standards and procedures. * Ensures corporate and legal guidelines are followed for managing IT hardware and software assets. * Responsible for business software budget preparation coordinates with Finance * Run and monitor the IT Services budget * Accountable for the research and procure orders with Procurement dept. Ensure receipt of purchase orders, invoice processing and reconciles changes in inventory. * Manages vendors in Oracle by ensuring proper documents are submitted and updated as needed * Accountable for internal audits and True-Ups as required by the vendor * Work closely with the business on software needs, including setting up vendor meetings and demos/evals * Supports the planning, budgeting and forecasting exercises for all of IT spend * Work with legal to review contracts and redlines. * Monitors software trends to determine contract(s) required Experience * Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience * Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting an enterprise Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm * Experience in managing IT budgets and spend analysis Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities * Technology platform experience with Ivanti or other enterprise scale IT asset management tools, Oracle financials or similar tool, Microsoft PowerBI/Power Automate and Microsoft O365 suite of tools. * Strong business process/automation and reporting/analytics skills. * Experience in organizational change management practices and ability to draft well-written communications. Education * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or other related field. Compensation The approximate compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $174,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location. This position is remote with a strong preference for someone to work in Pittsburgh, PA.
