In this role, you'll d rive a dump truck (truck and pup, or truck and transfer) to deliver materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or asphalt to various job sites and customers in the area. Wage: 26 : 28/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime Shift: Primarily work 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. Will also be required to work more hours, per DOT regulations, and up to 6 days per week as needed during the busy construction season. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications: : Valid Class A CDL and current interstate DOT medical card.: Ability to operate manual transmission.:Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality. :Must pass pre:employment physical exam and pre:employment controlled substance testing.:Demonstrates the ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends/holidays as needed.:Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.: Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date. Preferred Qualifications: : Preference will be given to candidates with prior dump truck driving experience, or general commercial driving experience in a construction setting. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions): : Maintain vehicle in a clean an orderly condition inside and out. Operate truck in a safe and efficient manner by utilizing it within its designed parameters to deliver materials to construction and customer sites while following applicable laws. : Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle and investigate any abnormalities. Perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs (i.e. mud flaps and mirror adjustments). Promptly detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to shop personnel.: Ability to communicate efficiently with dispatch and follow their instructions.: Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete prior to arriving on the job. When loading, ensure proper materials are loaded in a safe manner. Obtain proper signatures as required. Ensure proper entry of on:the:job information on customer delivery invoices.: Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed.: Maintain operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and departmental transportati
