Object Computing, Inc. in St. Louis, MOseeks a f/t Sr. Software Engineer (Java) resp. for analyzing, developing, testing, & enhancing Java based software systems; developing multi-tiered Java apps, using RESTful microservices; designing & building web apps using Java, JavaScript & HTML; writing database queries using SQL; creating custom Docker images for deployment to cloud envi; debugging & fixing errors; performing quality assurance reviews & unit testing; influencing technical direction for assigned projects; identifying & communicating technical issues; contributing to OCI practices & offerings through knowledge sharing; & mentoring & developing less experienced engineers.Req. a Bachelors degree in Comp Sci, Comp Info Systems, Comp Engineering, Mgmt. Info Systems, or a closely related field & 5 yrs exp as a Software Engineer or related occup. to include 5 yrs Java development exp & 3 yrs exp with Micronaut & modern JavaScript development.
