The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling various patent projects within the life sciences sector, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence. The role requires a deep understanding of organic chemistry or related fields, particularly small-molecule pharmaceuticals.Duties:Manage diverse patent projects, including drafting, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, opinions, and due diligence.Conduct thorough analysis and research on life sciences patent matters.Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective patent strategies.Prepare and file patent applications with the USPTO.Provide guidance and support on patent-related issues to clients and colleagues.Requirements:A junior Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience.A master’s degree in organic chemistry or a related field is preferred for candidates with a PhD.Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution on small molecule pharmaceuticals.Admission to practice before the USPTO.Education:Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry or related field (PhD preferred).Certifications:Admission to practice before the USPTO.Skills:Strong understanding of organic chemistry principles.Proficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Excellent analytical and research skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
