Job Title: Global Tech Ops, New Modalities - Senior Director, Platform Technology Introduction to role: Join us in a pivotal leadership role within the Global Technical Operations team at AstraZeneca. As the Senior Director, Technology, you will be at the forefront of strategic planning and coordination of technical leadership. You will work closely with the Biologics Research and Development teams to tackle new, unique and different biologic medicines. Accountabilities: In this role, you will lead large cross-functional teams, championing new manufacturing technologies and new modalities enabling processes. You will act as early technical leads for New and existing Modalities, leading Operations engagement with various development technical and leadership teams. You will also establish Operations standard work for new and existing modalities, collaborating closely with development partners. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the technical accountability for virtual sites in the network and ensuring timely and efficient communication between GTO technical team internally and externally with CMOs. Essential Skills/Experience: - Acknowledged experience and network in a Commercial/late stage manufacturing setting- Proven history of regulatory document authoring or regulatory technical strategy development- Bachelor of Science with 15+ Years of experience in biologics manufacturing; 12+ years with advanced degree- The ability to co-create and collaborate in complex and agile environments Desirable Skills/Experience: - Ability to manage people, both directly and in matrix environment- Late phase experience in nucleic acid manufacturing, formulation and/or formulation analytics- Proficiency with PowerBI, PowerAutomate and Microsoft Office suite of visualization tools- Understanding and competency in DoE study designWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
