Nuclear medicine technologists prepare and administer radioactive isotopes producing high quality images for physicians to use in diagnosing disease and that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. A nuclear medicine technologist must be a graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nuclear medicine technology program (as recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)). Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred. A nuclear medicine technologist must be board certified in Nuclear Medicine Technology and maintain current licensure. (Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership. Full Time Rotating shifts between hospital and outpatient imaging center (PET/CT). Occasional coverage at Fairmont Nuclear Medicine Department. Shifts are 7-3:30 and 8-4:30. There is rotating call on week days and holidays.
