DIS is currently seeking two Business Analysis Consultants to join our incredible Enterprise Optimization practice. DIS delivers impactful, targeted results in Enterprise Optimization by providing consistently high-quality services, trusted advisor guidance and support to Federal leaders driving significant change initiatives and addressing performance improvement mandates. The right individual will crush the day-to-day responsibilities, bringing a strong background in IT portfolio and investment funding request analysis. Essential Duties Provide SharePoint and/or Power BI analyst support to work with the SharePoint + Power BI Developer team to make updates to SharePoint websites and Power BI dashboards. Assess requests for IT capabilities and modifications with respect to cost, risk, importance, and other criteria such as security, compliance with established guidelines and policies, technical and architecture adherence to published standards, identification of functionality duplication (stove pipes), epic, and functional / non-functional requirements enrichment. Use reports and data from various sources and workflow tools in preparing briefings, dashboards, and recommendations. Prepare executive level briefings that provide easy to understand data and fact-based insights on issues, options, and recommendations. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and other documentation to support requirements evaluation, coordination, and decision-making. Communicate thoughtful insights in formal and informal settings, as well as in written documents such as e-mail, white papers, presentations, and planning and reporting documents. Contribute and work-together in a diverse team in a highly interactive, collaborative environment with clients and delivery teammates. Use and maintain existing SharePoint pages, lists, libraries, forms, apps, and workflows. To succeed in the Business Analysis Consultant role, you must possess the passion to continuously learn about best practices, ramp-up quickly in multiple subject-matter areas, skillfully communicate and scale activities in selected areas for the benefit of the client, and always meet and exceed professional expectations. Required skills and experience for this role Bachelor's degree and three or more years of consulting experience Experience in the public sector/Federal environment analyzing IT spending requests either as an employee or contractor Experience as a SharePoint Developer or Admin and/or has interest in growing into this type of role; demonstrated ability to build on both sites and skill sets Relevant experience in most of the following: Shaping and analyzing data, understanding issues and developing recommendations Developing IT service or product roadmaps, including outcomes, milestones, and releases Making updates in SharePoint and/or providing Power BI analyst support for websites and dashboards Conducting organizational and/or strategy assessments and gap analyses Developing recommended metrics and indicators for performance monitoring Generating governance process documentation for use in and after decision meetings Benchmarking metrics and indicators against past performance and strategic goals and objectives Developing databases, dashboards, reports, and other performance reporting tools Communicating insights and recommendations with leadership clearly, verbally and through briefing materials that guide organizational decisions relating to topics such as analytics results, costs, risks, and scheduling impacts Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills High level of skill using Microsoft Office and 365 suite of software. Review and understand business requirements, processes, and organizational operations and translate them into usable and manageable workflows. Ability to operate within a SharePoint environment, and ability to create, read, and update pages lists, libraries, web parts, apps, forms, and workflows. Experience using planning and project management systems like Monday.com or Jira. Experience creating and/or remediating digital media to be accessible by at least WCAG 2.0 Level AA recommendations and Section 508 requirements; to include web pages, PDFs, and other typical digital documents. Preferred skills and experience for this role Experience in Federal IT Spending processes, including understanding of relevant laws and OMB guidance (e.g., OMB Circular A-11, Technology Business Management - TBM) Experience using ServiceNow collect data and reports Understanding of Objective & Key Results (OKRs) and other value measurement or goal setting methodologies Experience facilitating workshops or strategic planning sessions Demonstrated client relationship-building skills and capacity Website development and management including editing and creating HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON and XML.
