The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office is preferred, and additional admission to the bar in MI, MO, VA, and/or TX is considered ideal. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in handling complex litigation matters.Duties:Represent clients in intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes.Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.Participate in discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.Requirements:4-7 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney.Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (preferred).Additional admission to the bar in MI, MO, VA, and/or TX (ideal).Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Strong understanding of intellectual property law and litigation procedures.Excellent written communication skills.Education:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (preferred).Skills:Excellent written communication skills.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to conduct thorough legal research.Proficiency in drafting legal documents, pleadings, and briefs.Effective collaboration and teamwork.Courtroom experience and familiarity with litigation procedures.Job Location: Troy, MI This is an intellectual property powerhouse law firm.
