Sports and Recreation Coordinator - Event Manager and Scheduler

Description:
The Sports and Recreation Coordinator will serve as a lead on multiple tournaments or program functions as event manager and can think creatively about new events or new ways to improve current events. As an Event Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that programs reach their Key Performance Indicators and running successful events. Additionally, this position will aid in registration and data collection of external customer information. The position will also work with the organization's internal Sports and Recreation department to provide a schedule of competitions. Accepting Resumes through July 1st and looking for someone to start end of August/early September. Competencies: · Highly organized and ability to set priorities for an organized workload · Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally; strong written communication · Project management and ability to multi-task on an assortment of projects · Organize and lead teamwork to accomplish goals · Manage deadlines and operate within a budget · Ability to work with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds · Ability to effectively manage events both internal and external Areas of responsibility: · Event manager of tournament, league, and programs · Creativity in new event creation for the NSC (National Sports Center) · Provides support and team collaboration with other NSC Schedulers on event schedules · Delivers professional and efficient customer service to internal and external customers · Assistance in reconciling registration accounts and financials of customers · Willingness to travel, when necessary, to operate/assist at events or recruit in various locations · Work a flexible schedule which means a typically predictable schedule of some nights/weekends but comes with flexible hours within the traditional work week. · Additional responsibilities: Other duties as assigned · Event Responsibilities: TBD pending candidate Classification: Full Time salaried, exempt from FLSA overtime Regulation Terms of Employment: At will Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 Commensurate with education and experience Appointed by: Sports and Recreation Director
