The Shipping/Receiving Associate at MK Metal Products, Inc. is a solid team player who adds to the strength of our manufacturing team. The person holding position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accountability of all inbound and products materials. The Shipper/Receiver is expected to effectively communicate coordinate with customers and external carrier and transportation representatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities Loading and Unloading of all Inbound and Outbound Shipments Accurate verification of all inbound shipments against their associated Purchase Orders Item and/or Part Number verification Quantity Verification Quality Verification Engineering Verification (as necessary) Accurate and Timely processing of relevant paperwork in coordination with Purchasing, Accounting and Administration personnel Preparation and Packaging of all outbound shipments including Small Package (UPS, FedEx, etc), LTL Shipments, and Truckload Shipments. Accurate and Professional communication and coordination with Internal Personnel including: Purchasing Accounting Engineering Production Accurate and Professional communication and coordination with External Customers including: Delivery Persons Drivers Material Handling throughout the plant Maintaining a clean and organized work area Conducting business in a professional manner Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Manufacturing environment Workplace safety Quality standards Hand tools including tape measure and digital calipers Power tools including Cordless and Pneumatic Basic computer skills including MS Windows, Word, Excel and MRP/ERP Application Software Skills Mathematical skills Ability to read blueprints Strong interpersonal skills Strong communication skills Excellent time management skills Attributes Positive team attitude Strong work ethic Self-motivated Productive Requires minimal supervision JOB CONTEXT Education Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent Job-related experience: At least 2 years experience in Receiving Reporting Level: Production Supervisor Responsibility for Personnel: None Travel/Time away from home: None Working hours: Monday-Friday First Shift (6:00am-2:30pm w/ overtime as necessary) Licensing/Certification: Driver’s license; Physical/Environmental Hazards: Industrial machinery, Welding area, Paint Area, Noise Physical/Cognitive Essential Functions: Read, reasoning, problem-solving, Sit/stand / lay on floor for extended periods of time, lifting, manual dexterity, driving Work Environment: Manufacturing shop Other: Excellent current performance is required Powered by JazzHR
