Job Overview We are seeking an experienced C developer with exceptional customer service skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in C development and SQL Server, with a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable software solutions. This individual will work closely with both technical and non:technical stakeholders, so excellent communication skills are essential. They will be responsible for gathering requirements, providing technical support, as well as developing and delivering high:quality software that meets the needs of clients. The successful candidate should be a problem:solver, able to navigate complex project requirements and deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. Attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical for success in this role. Essential Functions: Develop and maintain intermediate to advanced application programs from detailed specifications; create detailed specifications.: Develop programming code that is logical, optimizes programming resources, and meets user requirements; work with users to test and debug programs; fluently uses professional tools for source:code management, issue tracking, and testing.: Write documentation to provide user support for new or modified programs and production/operations procedures. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.: Create applications or solutions to support user needs and initiatives.: Install, configure, and modify applications and other systems.: Maintain and support assigned systems to ensure minimal downtime and loss of productivity and service.: Evaluate and enhance the efficiency of existing programs in meeting current and future user needs.: Install new, modified, or third:party software releases and/or updates.: Evaluate new information systems products or services and suggest changes to existing products or service to better aid the end user.: Act as technical lead for one or more software development initiatives.: Evaluate and supplement vendor supplied documentation for third party software.: Contribute to strategic planning and provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on departmental processes and goals.: Serve as an expert resource to others; serve on committees and projects.: Serve as a mentor to other employees.: May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non:exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).: Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelors Degree in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Eight (8) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
