Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily monitoring and adjustment of critical boiler parameters including pressure, flow, and levels. Optimize energy management focusing on boiler efficiency, condensate recovery, and fuel consumption tracking. Manage water chemistry testing and oversee water treatment programs. Conduct performance adjustments on both high-pressure (power) and low-pressure (heating) boilers based on plant requirements. Perform interlock testing, including flame scanner and low water cutoff. Monitor and maintain accessory systems such as feedwater, air systems, generators, fire protection, and cooling towers. Oversee start-up and isolation procedures for steam turbine/generators. Analyze and monitor steam and gas turbine performance, ensuring all parameters meet strict tolerances and safety standards. Administer air emissions and wastewater standards through comprehensive monitoring, testing, and reporting. Implement and review safety procedures and policies, including lock-out tag-out and safe work permitting. Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with state and insurance standards. Handle emergency response duties for boiler room and associated plant systems. Manage critical supply resources and inventory, supporting both planned and unplanned outage events. Essential Qualifications: Current and valid Philadelphia Engineer Grade A License. Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating high-pressure boilers with electric generation. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Able to meet all physical and pre-employment screening requirements. Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with applicable overtime compensation.
