We require an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. You must ensure that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests. Our ideal candidate has outstanding time management skills as well as a team-first mindset to effectively assist other kitchen personnel and keep our operation running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities: • Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items• Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift• Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations• Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products• Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude Qualifications: • Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification• Previous experience working in food service is preferred• Must be authorized to work in the United States Compensation: $22 - $25 DOE About Company: The Adelphi Hotel is Saratoga Springs’ landmark boutique property which blends old-world grace and Victorian grandeur with exceptional service and style for today’s guests.
