Specific Responsibilities The Chemical/Oil/Maintenance Specialist for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache's Onshore Production Operations team at the company's Snook, TX office reporting to the Production Foreman Sr. This role will be primarily responsible for the following: Chemicals: :Water quality, bacteria, scale, corrosion, paraffin, demulsification, and the technical skills to understand the results of lab testing:Production facilities, understanding how they mechanically operate and the application of chemical management for the field problems oriented with oil and gas production.:Understand chemical reporting including formulas, truck treating, continuous treating and special treatments. This will include the ability to visually evaluate failures in the field understanding the root cause of the failure and what chemically will be required Oil Measurements: :Basic knowledge of oil and gas production operations and midstream processes.:Basic knowledge of the methods of oil measurement used for allocation and custody transfer points.:Works closely with mentors and/or Foreman to develop knowledge and skills related to oil and gas operations and oil measurement functions.:Ensure implementation of measurement best practices and policies.:Plan, schedule and coordinate work efforts with other entities to ensure timely completion of all required periodic test of Apache's oil custody transfer equipment.:Perform inspections and maintenance of Apache's oil measurement equipment (LACT's and Allocation meters).:Coordinate and supervise contractors to ensure efficient and safe work performance.:Witness scheduled monthly meter proving's to ensure Apache's measurement interests are monitored and meet API, contractual, state and federal requirements. :During scheduled meter proving's inspect LACTs to ensure they meet proper seal/security requirements and if seals are lacking make the proper notifications.:Works with mentor to maintain all required oil measurement related data and reports to satisfy all contractual, state, and federal requirements.:Maintains audit preparedness for area of responsibility with the ability to respond to and correct audit findings with support from immediate supervisor.:Work as a liaison:Strong working knowledge vapor recovery systems:Troubleshoot and repair vapor recovery systems and emissions control devices:Generate complete and accurate reports of work performed:Work close with Environmental Compliance team on scheduling and data tracking Maintenance :Strong working knowledge vapor recovery systems:Troubleshoot and repair vapor recovery systems and emissions control devices:Generate complete and accurate reports of work performed:Work close with Environmental Compliance team on scheduling and data tracking:Read and be familiar with State Environmental Compliance Regulations Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: :High school diploma or equivalent required.
