Job Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of various construction equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and haul trucks. Responsibilities:Operates front:end loaders, dozers, backhoes, haul trucks, and other mobile equipment:Loads trucks and maintains proper quantities of material to be loaded:Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations:Completes visual and daily safety inspection of equipment to ensure safe operations:Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires:Follows established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards and other hazardous conditions:Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental, and OSHA and MSHA requirements are always followed:Performs other duties as assigned Education High school diploma/GED Requirements/Qualifications:Experience operating heavy equipment, specifically large dozers in a mining/construction environment:Able to operate heavy equipment while following safety procedures:Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance:Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels:Must be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, and other unusual elements, such as loud noise, dirt, dust, fumes, etc.:Able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekend hours as required:MSHA training certification a plus Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post:offer pre:employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on:going drug and alcohol testing. :/br:NE:/br:
