The Position Kaufman, Hall & Associates, LLC, is seeking a Consultant who will be a significant contributor to our revenue cycle competency within Kaufman Hall’s Revenue & Operations Improvement practice. The position demands a strong revenue cycle background and experiencing leading assessments and implementation initiatives within facilities and medical groups. The successful candidate will be expected to lead revenue cycle client engagements with minimal oversight. The candidate will be fully capable of presenting to senior management teams and boards and be able to drive the organization to decisions around critical issues, simultaneously managing multiple client engagements with a variety of staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to collaborate with and facilitate revenue cycle discussions across all aspects of the revenue cycle as well as clinical staff as needed.The essential functions of the position are: Oversight and or/delivery of data management activities the encompass client data requests, collecting data from clients and other sources, clarifying and resolving data issues, maintaining source data and version control Leadership related to Data Analysis including creating client profiles, inserting data into proprietary tool and using tool to analyze data, and identify idiosyncrasies and trends in data Effectively interviewing our client’s employees, observing their revenue cycle process and, evaluate technology tools to properly identify issues and opportunities for improvement Ensuring quality control of: variance analyses on revenue cycle performance indicators and productivity, incorporating a wide variety of key metrics, at both the global and departmental /staff level creation and maintenance of a benchmarking repository client data files and deliverables Creating reports for assessments and client deliverables, specifically including the Interpretation of data and the translation of detailed analysis into consequential summary hypotheses and findings via draft internal and client PowerPoint presentations Assisting in the development and management of key engagement project management tools, templates and reports Assisting with development and improvement of revenue cycle assessment and implementation methodologies Providing guidance, instruction and mentorship to junior revenue cycle team members Providing support and input related to revenue cycle operations to other segments of Kaufman Hall’s consulting practices including Physician Enterprise, Labor, Non-Labor, Care Transitions and Synergy Maintaining business development data in Salesforce Assisting in the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements Delivering high quality work with integrity Affinity for mentoring and developing junior staff in the pursuit of building the practice team Interfacing and oversight of client and or KHA resources in delivery of above Our Level Construct Associates Senior Associates Assistant Vice Presidents Vice Presidents Senior Vice Presidents Managing Directors Qualifications Progressive experience in a healthcare provider or consulting role with a strong understanding of healthcare industry and physician/hospital finance and operations with a specific focus on revenue cycle Familiarity or competencies in change and project management preferred Excellent quantitative skills and strong knowledge of accounting and finance and the link to healthcare operations A good understanding of revenue cycle key performance indicators and benchmarks in the hospital and physician environments Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions and recommendations Ability to learn in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects with competing priorities Excellent oral and written communication skills Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence Willingness and ability to travel, at times on short notice Ability to thrive and excel in a matrixed or multi-priority environment with proven ability to collaborate and contribute to the development of strong project teams Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office Tools Applicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kaufman Hall (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status) Education Bachelor’s degree required Physical Requirements Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing.
