Summary of Role: This is a full-time position, working with the Benefits Administration team and reporting directly to the AVP, Benefit Administration. Enrollment Specialist are expected to provide excellent customer service each day, handle standard requests for group clients and their employees and provide senior team members with assistance complex appeals as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enroll new groups into carrier website portals. Process all Broker Link Transactions, BOR's and conversions. Edit members for medical and ancillary products such as: Cobra control, Life, Dental, Vision, Gap and any other products. Maintaining current and accurate policy information for all assigned consultant groups. Assist consultants with retrieving documentation on new groups and conversions. Adhere to monthly quality and audit requirements, maintain all paperwork and documentation. Prepare quotes for consultants as requested, provide feedback and troubleshoot on any potential group issues. Review monthly reports for renewal dates, and policy information. Log all phone conversations for any issues, take calls from members, and groups to educate them on their benefits. Assist claims department with resolving and processing issues. Respond to emails, and voicemails. Provide accurate, appropriate, and timely responses to all requests by clients. Provide backup for office staff as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision Plans and Flexible Spending Accounts required. Experience with Insurance Carrier self-service portals and call centers a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment Vigorous attention to detail, highly-organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Education and/or Experience: Four Year college or university degree or equivalent experience 1-3 years of benefit administration or claims processing required Certificates, Licenses, Registration: NJ Health Producer License and CE Credits Physical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
