JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Retread TechnicianDepartment: Retread Shop Reports To: Shop ForemanJob Type: Non-Exempt Date Prepared: 03/14/2002Summary: Ability to produce a high-quality retread by performing specific retreading tasks, as assigned, perMichelin specifications and time standards. The person who takes the job must be quality and safety oriented.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. High quality workmanship, keep supervisor informed of production problems as they occur General maintenance of specifically assigned equipment and area, in a safe, clean and workable manner Training of personnel in specific area as assigned by supervisor Skills to be improved and developed as required Must be team oriented and goal oriented Must have some mechanical ability and able to work with hand tools Must be willing to be cross trained in all areas of production For individual shop tasks, refer to Michelin Employee Development ManualSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneCompetency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Uses reason even whendealing with emotional topics.
