The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of federal and state labor employment laws and litigation experience in these areas.Duties:Handle aspects of litigation with minimal supervision, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Conduct and defend depositions, interact with clients and opposing counsel, and attend certain court appearances.Provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including employee relations, risk mitigation, ADA and other workplace accommodations, FINRA arbitrations, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with federal and state labor employment laws and litigation.Experience with laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws.Federal-level judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.Strong academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills.Juris Doctorate degree required.Admission to practice law in Illinois is mandatory.Education:Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to practice law in Illinois.Skills:Thorough understanding of federal and state labor employment laws.Litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.Ability to handle aspects of litigation with minimal supervision.Excellent communication and writing skills.Ability to provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues.Experience with employee relations, risk mitigation, and employment-related policies.
