Position Description The Senior Desktop Engineer is a methodical problem solver, a collaborative leader within the team, empathetic with users, experienced with Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and more. They are an expert at automating company-wide solutions through Powershell, Intune, and Group Policy. They focus on automating helpdesk processes and deployments that have wide impact and support user-facing issues and projects with advanced client-level complexity and light server and infrastructure involvement. Responsibilities Deploy new OS, driver and software packages using SCCM and Endpoint Manager Build FreshService automations to aid in IT service delivery to users and reporting With developed automations, setup new employees and revoke access for departing employees (Active Directory, SCCM, Okta, InTune) Respond to tickets on time, ensure a complete resolution of the issue at hand, and thoroughly document the work Maintain and improve Azure Virtual Desktop environment Remediate security vulnerabilities at scale (InTune, SCCM, Group Policy, Qualys) Identify and resolve networking issues, coordinating with the Infrastructure team as needed Look for opportunities to suggest technology solutions to pain points in the company Support other IT team members and share your knowledge Basic networking deployment and troubleshooting (IP, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP) Partner with other IT Teams to support MIS initiatives Diagnose and resolve escalated hardware issues including: PCs, Printers, Scanners, Mobile, Network Access, and Desk Phones Diagnose and resolve escalated software issues including: Windows, iOS, Office365, Adobe, Remote Desktop, and other department applications Update asset inventory Qualifications B.S. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent 5-7 years of experience in a similar role Expert with Microsoft software suite, especially Windows and Office365 Strong understanding of networking and Active Directory Expert at automating software and/or OS deployments (SCCM, Endpoint Manager, or similar) Experienced with scripting and safely deploying Powershell automations Experience administering Azure Virtual Desktop, or other VDI solution Excellent communication skills Trusted expert and mentor for the team Don't meet every single requirement?
