Position Summary: Our client is seeking a proactive and efficient Warehouse Associate for their Pensacola facility, pivotal in managing inventory and ensuring the seamless flow of operations. This role involves handling diverse functions from inventory management to direct coordination for deliveries and pickups. The ideal candidate is adept at operating warehouse equipment, particularly forklifts, and possesses a strong ability to work collaboratively with a team to enhance service delivery and facility efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Core Duties: Accurately pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup. Ensure thorough completion of these tasks to maintain high service standards. Support Functions: Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks, receiving shipments, logging items into inventory, and conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and accountability. Interpersonal Engagement: Maintain positive and effective communication with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate logistics and resolve any operational issues. Technical and Administrative Tasks: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks, and promptly report any discrepancies or concerns to the supervisor. Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a clean, neat, and efficient facility environment. Flexibility for Role-Specific Tasks: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the dynamic needs of the warehouse and its operations. Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Experience: Previous experience in distribution, general labor, or warehousing preferred. Prior forklift experience is required. Skills: Ability to follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision. Proficient in managing heavy objects, with the capacity to safely maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds. Physical Requirements: Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and move heavy objects. Other Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Ideal Candidate Profile: Efficiency and Accuracy: Demonstrates precision and speed in task execution. Team Collaboration: Works well within a team setting to achieve common goals. Adaptability/Flexibility: Adapts easily to changing situations and workload.
