Here's a detailed job description:Job Overview: The Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy Associate Attorney will join a dynamic team, assisting with a variety of complex legal matters related to restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy. The candidate will work closely with clients and colleagues, offering strategic advice and solutions to navigate challenging legal issues.Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis related to restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy casesDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefsAssist with case management, including document review, discovery, and trial preparationCommunicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counselAttend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as requiredCollaborate with team members to develop creative legal strategies and solutionsMaintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentationRequirements:2-4 years of experience in Restructuring, Insolvency, or Bankruptcy lawBankruptcy Judicial Clerkship experience is a plusLicensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of KentuckyExcellent academic record from a reputable law schoolStrong analytical skills and ability to offer unique perspectives on complex legal issuesExceptional writing, analytical, and communication skillsCommitment to teamwork and excellent client serviceAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate advice clearly and persuasivelyEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the Kentucky Bar AssociationBankruptcy Judicial Clerkship experience preferred but not requiredSkills:Legal research and analysisLegal writing and draftingCase management and organizationClient communication and relationship managementCourtroom advocacy and litigation supportTeam collaboration and problem-solvingAttention to detail and accuracyTime management and multitaskingThis position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile legal matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
