Job Description Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Director of Environmental Services and Laundry position at Middlesex Hospital, located in Middletown, CT. The Director of Environmental Services and Laundry is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of all facility solutions to ensure all health and safety standards are met. Leads the operations of facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations. Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Job Responsibilities - Manages the day:to:day operations of the Environmental Services Department (Housekeeping)- Plus manages a full:service laundry and line distribution operation.- Distributes supplies, holds shift huddles, scheduling and training. Monitors performance.- Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning.- Conducts rounding with patients, service recovery, quality audits and inspections.- Communicates and builds relationships with other department leaders- Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needsAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice Qualifications - Requires at least 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services- Requires up to 2 years of experience in a management role preferred- Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent experience- Model key leadership behaviors and ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and service excellence for employees, clients and consumers- Note: This client location requires working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID:19 before start date.
