Your Specific Responsibilities: Overdose Prevention Initiatives Leads all Department of Health in Volusia County overdose prevention initiatives. Utilizes harm reduction strategies and evidence:based practices in planning outreach and OD2A intervention strategies. Participates in and leads public forums, meetings, and other venues to ensure program information is shared within the agency, with community partners, and with the public. Develops and monitors process and outcome measures to assess the success and impact of OD2A programming in conjunction with the state office. Staff and Community Training Provides trainings to staff and community related to harm reduction strategies, overdose prevention, culturally competent care and interventions and other topics as directed. Community Engagement Work with community partners to establish parent cafes and providing training and technical assistance as needed Contract Management Manage all contracts related to overdose prevent program/project Overdose Data 2 Action (OD2A:S) Ensure grant deliverables are on:track, including mitigating barriers that may hinder progress. Provvide data/information timely and accurately to the state health office as required. Other Related Duties as Assigned Attends and participates in staff development and regularly scheduled department staff meetings. Prepares and submits weekly EARs reports, bi:weekly timesheets, and time summaries according to established local agency procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of services, partners, and resources available to address to opioid misuse and/or opioid use disorder. Knowledge of substance (mis)use, substance use disorder, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). Skilled in developing and maintaining partnerships. Knowledge of harm reduction strategies. Qualifications: Minimum : Must have knowledge of services, partners, and resources available to address to opioid misuse and/or opioid use disorder. Must have knowledge of substance (mis)use, substance use disorder, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). Must be skilled in developing and maintaining partnerships. Must have knowledge of harm reduction strategies. Must be a current Florida Department of Health employee, in a Selected Exempt Service (SES), Career Service (CS), or Other Personal Services (OPS) position Preferred : Experience working with individuals with substance (mis)use, opioid misuse, and/or opioid disorder.
