Manufacturing Operator (Coating)

Description:
This role is for a Production Operator specializing in coating. It's an hourly position, reporting to a Front-Line Supervisor, based at either the Hauppauge or Central Islip manufacturing units in New York. There are openings for two shifts: 1st Shift (07:00 am - 03:30 pm) and 2nd Shift (03:00 pm - 11:30 pm). Please indicate your preferred shift. Responsibilities: Operate pharmaceutical production machinery independently.Follow procedures for manufacturing processes as per Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Conduct machine changeovers, cleaning, and setup according to SOPs.Ensure cleanliness and setup of equipment and areas within specified timeframes.Prepare rooms and equipment for line clearance, including filter replacement and verification/calibration of equipment.Conduct line clearance before starting manufacturing activities.Handle material transfers and ensure compliance with BMR requirements.Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per SOP/BMR.Independently operate relevant equipment.Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to maintain product/BMR specifications.Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.Complete manufacturing documents accurately and on time.Train on relevant SOPs and ensure compliance with cGMP.Perform duties safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and Equipment Manuals.Be flexible to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends, to meet manufacturing schedules.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Requirements: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial environments, preferably pharmaceutical manufacturing.Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).Positive and professional attitude, willing to cooperate with colleagues and supervisors.Ability to work different shifts and flexible for overtime and weekend work.No restrictions working with active pharmaceutical ingredient-containing powders.Ability to lift heavy weights, bend frequently, stand/walk for long periods, ascend/descend ladders, and move pallets/equipment weighing up to 200 300 kgs using suitable moving equipment like pallet jacks.
