GPIseeks a senior structural bridge engineer familiar with the design of bridges for NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDOT, or other NY agencies to join our team in our Babylon or Manhattan office. We seek someone with a good work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work collectively with our team, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects. Responsibilities: Managing medium to large design projectsMaintaining schedules and budgets to ensure contractual obligationsCoordinating with sub-consultants and clientsDirect and mentor junior engineers and techniciansWillingness to check calculations and/or direct the design procedures of others to ensure that calculations are performed per AASHTO design standards or other requirements Qualifications: BS degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringNew York State PE required. New Jersey PE is a plus. Masters degree a plus12+ years of experience working in the bridge industryExperience working in a team environment, providing technical direction to a design team on minor and major bridge projects
