We are looking for a full-time Sleep Technician for our site in Miami (Kendall area)! Shift: The majority of the schedule will be overnight, with daytime work for training, meetings, or other tasks as needed. Our sleep lab is open 7 days/week, so flexibility is ideal, but we are willing to work with a variety of schedules. Compensation: $500/night and $35/hr for activities outside of sleep study + comprehensive benefits, PTO, and 401k match RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the supervision of the clinical director. Perform polysomnography, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, as well as patient care and education. Maintain and troubleshoot sleep study equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Recognize and respond to abnormal patient indicators, including ECG, EEG, and respiratory issues. Conduct and score sleep studies, adjusting procedures based on patient age and condition, following established protocols. Initiate and adjust therapy, such as supplemental oxygen or nasal positive airway pressure, based on physician orders and protocols. Prepare for sleep studies by setting up equipment, applying electrodes and sensors, and explaining the procedure to patients. Monitor and document sleep study data, ensuring the quality of signals and making necessary adjustments. Implement interventions as needed for patient safety and therapeutic purposes during the study. Complete data collection, score sleep stages and clinical events according to professional guidelines, and generate reports. QUALIFICATIONS Must hold the RPSGT certification - certification number will be required Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience Must be comfortable with travel between site locations as needed - travel and accommodations are provided Basic Life Support training and CPR certification required Excellent patient support and communication skills Proficient in-patient workflows Bilingual preferred HIPAA familiarity Performing in-lab PSG and MSLT/MWT Setup HST devices and educate on proper use Score PSG, MSLT, MWT, and HST utilizing AASM standards Flourish Research offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and endless growth opportunities.
