Description:
We need a competent and experienced cook for help prep, cook and pack for multiple events as well as execute events at client site - whether it is drop-off, action station or plated meal. You will earn base wage plus tips (which typically average out to $2 per hour.) It is a part time position but becomes a full time position during our busy season (typically May to October plus December). Responsibilities:• You must be willing to work early mornings, weekends and nights• You must take direction well with a positive attitude and must have a great work ethic• Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules• Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served• Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates Qualifications:• Must have at least 10 years of cooking experience with multiple cuisines• Must know how to prepare mother sauces and derivatives thereof• Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment• Baking experience is a plus• Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage• Must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED• Must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly About Company: We are a full-service Restaurant, Catering Company, and Venue in business since the year 2002.
