Kumon Math and Reading Center of Carson South is looking for a part-time learning center assistant.We are searching for bright, motivated, outgoing, and friendly individuals with a desire to help students reach their full potential in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.This is an excellent opportunity for high school seniors, college students, and retired educators. Long-term commitment is a must (minimum 6 months ) Prior Kumon or tutoring experience and/or university degree preferred. Good instructional skills, an ability to observe, understand, and communicate with children Comfortable working with younger students starting from preschool ages Ability to convey ideas and concepts simply and clearly to children Responsible, reliable, punctual, able to multi-task and follow directions Responsibilities Grading homework assignments Leading young children with classwork Any other tasks may be required for the operation of the center Job Type: Part-timePay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 12 per weekBenefits: Flexible schedule Referral program Grade school specialties: Math Schedule: After school Monday to Friday (except Wednesday) Work Location: In person
