This position will be required to verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Duties include but are not limited to: operating a tow motor, assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent Responsibilities: * Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. * Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. * Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. * Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. * Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. * Put away received materials * Assist in annual physical inventory and weekly cycle counts * Move inventory using a tow motor Skills * Management of Material Resources * Time Management * Quality Control * Operations Analysis * Judgment and Decision Making Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental Insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8-hour shift * Full-time Experience: * Shipping & Receiving Clerks: 1 year (Preferred) * Forklift: 1 year (Preferred) Culture is Job #1.
