Shipping Material Handler Position type: Part-Time, Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience Location: North Grafton, MA Ask Yourself This... Are you cool under pressure and excited by work that's different every day? Then join us in North Grafton, MA! What You'll Do The Shipping Material Handler will report to the Warehouse Foreperson. The position will be responsible for the storage, organization of bags, drums, and super sacks of abrasive grain in multiple warehouse locations. The position is required to work closely with the Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Lead and the Warehouse Foreperson to ensure the completion and accuracy of all incoming and outgoing activity. The Warehouse Material Handler will have a "can-do attitude", be able to think on their feet, work independently, and work well with those in other departments. This position works closely with the Production and Lab teams. This position is 4pm-9pm or 5pm-10pm (20 hours), Monday-Thursday. Responsible for putting away finished pallets of Sacks/Drums of abrasive grain from the alcove staging area in production into storage locations/containers in the warehouse, using an industrial forklift Replenish shipping warehouse product lanes from overstock locations Assist in maintaining outside storage container inventory counts Daily cleaning & sweeping of warehouse/shipping docks Other duties deemed necessary by the manager, as determined by business needs What You'll Need To be successful in this position, you must: Posses a High school diploma or equivalent, certifications or higher education a plus and 1+ years warehouse experience shipping/receiving. Be able to pass the necessary DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen Be able to speak, read and write English, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Have a basic understanding of general industry work and safety practices Have the ability to perform basic math calculations and be able to work ina team environment and adapt to changing production demands Have extensive forklift experience Have have ability to multi-task, think quickly on your feet, and have knowledge of manufacturing and production environment Be a self motivated individual and be able to follow instructions Who We Are Washington Mills is built on values that matter.
