Along with operating and maintaining our Wastewater Treatment System, this position also provides the opportunity to learn plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and machine maintenance. Mayday Manufacturing offers a friendly work environment that provides growth and development opportunities. Position Overview: The Wastewater Treatment Technician I operate and maintain a Wastewater Treatment System (WWTS) and related equipment and chemicals to comply with local, state, and federal permit requirements per HITOP-011-09. Performs WWTS maintenance and clerical duties per HITOP-011-09, maintains chemical inventory, and maintains, and runs boilers, chillers, and RO water units. Shift: 2nd 3:00pm-11:00pm Duties and Responsibilities Safely makes chemical additions to a variety of plating and anodizing baths. Makes basic adjustments to pH, ORP, and TDS probes. Makes basic repairs of pneumatic pumps, mixers. Competencies: Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
