Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Administers care to patient population which ranges from neonates to geriatrics. - Works cooperatively and interdependently with emergency, prehospital, law enforcement, and ancillary personnel while coordinating the emergent and critical care of patients requiring helicopter transportation. - Markets the Air 1 program and serves as a representative of the department as well as the UT Health East Texas System when involved with a public relations activity and/or marketing activity. Understands and supports the UT Health East Texas Mission, Vision, And Values. - Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures. Qualifications Job Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent requiredCertificate from an accredited EMT/Paramedic program. Texas EMT-P certification National Registry EMT-P (NREMT-P) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Certified Flight Paramedic Credential (FP-C) within 6 months of employment. - If the Crew member is an RN working in the Paramedic role the CFRN will take the place of the required - Certification. PALS - NRP - ACLS At least three years prehospital experience in a lead paramedic rolePreferred Job Requirements: - Previous flight paramedic experience
