Description:

DPP is seeking a System Testing Analyst II for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance. Work arrangement: Hybrid, onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with Monday and Friday as needed W2 position; 12 months Must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance, which requires a thorough background search and US citizenship. Summary: Perform initial triage to ensure defects are clearly described and critical information is provided, resolve if possible else assign to the appropriate person. Monitor logs so updates are accurate, detailed, timely and ECDs are current. Retest defects in an effective and timely manner. Identify trends and conditions where invalid defects are affecting testing efficiency. Identify root cause for such trends and participate in determining long-term solutions to reduce the number of invalid defects. Develop and execute test matrices within established timeframes ensuring traceability to requirements, and ensure that testing is efficient, effective, and repeatable as well as maintaining proper documentation. Increased use of synthetic data for EQE testing is encouraged. Ensure end-to-end business validation, as required, is included. Update test matrix, as required, for change controls and other discovery throughout the work effort. Update testing documentation based on discovery during testing. Proactively escalate concerns and alerts, including clarification of the impact to the completion of testing. Test Design and executing Test Matrices and subsequent defect triage and resolution. Run daily/Weekly defect meetings. Report on testing stats to Management. Ensure effective communications related to testing for work efforts. All communications are clear, concise, and appropriate for the levels of the organization involved. Communications on follow-ups are timely and effective. Testing status reports are clear, concise, and timely, including explanations of testing/quality issues, concerns, and risks. Share test matrices and testing/work-effort knowledge with customers and appropriate I/S personnel. Top skills: MS Word MS Excel Quality Center (ALM) or other Defect Tracking software. Skill in whitebox testing Integration Testing Static Testing Minimum required work experience: 5 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or matrices Job/class description: Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities. Track quality assurance metrics. Participate in the design phase of projects to ensure that new or modified functions are developed using correct testing methodology. Arrange major activities between the client and IS staff to ensure maximum gain from technical resources. Complete supportive administrative and lead activities such as attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes. Perform testing duties which may involve reviewing test data, creating test cases, executing testing, and monitoring/documenting results. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Very strong defect management sklls White box testing Ensure effective communications related to testing for work efforts. Testing status reports are clear, concise, and timely, including explanations of testing/quality issues, concerns, and risks. Share test matrices and testing/work-effort knowledge with customers and appropriate I/S personnel. Promote quality to ensure knowledge of work efforts is shared and that test planning/testing tasks are successful. Assist and/or back up fellow team members as needed. Participate in rotational assignments. Participate in process improvements, including identifying recommendations. Recurring manual processes should be identified and documented as candidates for automation (e.g., test region validation). Make full use of tools (e.g., test scripts, use of central test case repository), processes and techniques to ensure testing is as comprehensive and efficient as possible. Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills. Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems. Thorough understanding of systems migration processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skill in testing data creation and manipulation. Ability to understand functional connections between applications. Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc. Standard office equipment. Preferred KSAs: Agile methodology Waterfall Methodology Health Insurance background Knowledge of JAVA, Websphere, Windows, and other middleware platforms. Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM. Skill in White box testing, integration testing, static testing, and 508 compliance testing utilizing JAWS software. Work environment: The position holds a critical role in the application development process; testing new or modified applications to make sure they will work in the client's operating environment. Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Required education/equivalencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR, Associate's degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience; OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 9 years without a degree) Interested?
