Job Description Our mission is to redefine the home experience with tech and services to create a smarter, greener, safer home that saves our customers money every month. The Permit Specialist is responsible for: Obtaining all alarm/electrical permits for customers in required areas. Ensuring inspections are completed when necessary. Researching state, city requirements to ensure company is compliant with all permit-related ordinances. Performing regular audits and analysis to maintain accurate compliance records. Answering incoming phone calls from various state and local government officials, Vivint customers and members of other teams within the company. What we're looking for: This job involves regular and recurring work situations of a low to moderate level of complexity. The individual in this position must have excellent people skills with a high level of patience in dealing with all people they come in contact. This position operates from general guidelines and directions; the individual will receive a minimal level of supervision. Education : Some college preferred, but not required. Smart Home or Solar compliance experience preferred, but not required. WORKING CONDITIONS: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. SAFETY: Vivint enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe working environment. Each new employee is responsible for completing all training requirements. Additionally, the employee must accept they have responsibility for maintaining the safety of themselves, their co-workers, and the public. Employee must adhere to all written and verbal instructions, promptly report and correct all hazards or unsafe conditions, question non-standard operations or unmitigated hazards, and provide feedback to management on all safety issues.
