Our Baristas function as the direct line to our customers. They are tasked with providing excellent customer service and maintaining a working knowledge of the products we offer. They take customer orders and prepare various items from coffee to tea and pastries as well. Our Baristas work as a team at each location striving to deliver the excellent quality and experience our customers expect from us. Essential Job Functions Greets every customer and exhibits customer first attitude Maintains punctual attendance Follows all recipes and standards - drink builds, cleanliness, workflow and customer service Properly operates all brew equipment Processes and completes customer’s orders in timely friendly manner Understands various barista positions - floater, register, bar, etc. Responsible for overall general tidiness of shop / cafe - including service bar, dining room, bathrooms, dish area, storage areas Complete deep cleaning tasks as outline in checklists from management team Maintains stocking of items as needed Inform leadership team of any maintenance issues in a timely manner Properly handle any guest issues or complaints as outlined in the training materials and by leadership team Competencies Teamwork Customer Service Responsibility Adaptability Effective Communication Integrity Result Orientation Problem Solving Critical Thinking Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Previous barista experience preferred but not required Skills/Qualifications Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Meet all customer service expectations and standards in interactions with customers and fellow team members Must possess a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with a hands-on, cooperative approach in a team environment Strong organizational skills and accountability in completing all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Working Conditions & Physical Demands Able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand for prolonged periods of time frequently Mix of standard office, manufacturing, and retail store environments Disclaimer: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
