Description:
The Furukawa Laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our team. We explore the molecular underpinnings of neurotransmission, neuroplasticity, and neuron-targeted autoimmunity triggered by cancer. We employ a multidisciplinary approach, integrating structural biology (cryo-EM and x-ray crystallography), electrophysiology (patch-clamp, neuronal recordings), and other biophysical tools. Expertise in one of the following would be advantageous: patch-clamp/slice electrophysiology, structural biology (cryo-ET, single-particle cryo-EM), or molecular neuroscience is advantageous, though it is not a prerequisite for application.
