By applying to this requisition, you will have the opportunity to be considered for all available Medical Assistant II openings that may arise within the listed departments. **University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) located in Coralville/Iowa City have openings supporting: Urology, OB-GYN, and Family Medicine Clinics. These teams are seeking to hire multiple patient-centered Medical Assistant II, to support our growing clinics. The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 100% (40 hours a week) Medical Assistant II at UICC Urology, OB-GYN, and Family Medicine Clinics. About Urology Clinics: Our experts provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment in the clinic setting as well as surgical interventions for all urologic system diseases and disorders. Our physicians and nurses understand the reluctance some people feel about seeking help. A consultation can help you understand your symptoms, which can be the first step to treatment.About OB-GYN Clinics: Our experts provide collaborative care you can count on. Throughout your life, there may be times when you need medical care from providers specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. In these situations, you want an experienced provider who inspires confidence and makes you feel comfortable.The obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) specialists at University of Iowa Health Care are skilled at preventing, diagnosing, and treating gynecologic conditions. And whether you're considering pregnancy or navigating menopause, we're also here to offer expert guidance and support.About Family Medicine Clinics: Our medical assistants spend more time with patients and expand your physician-support and administrative duties, increases the efficiency and productivity of the physician and anticipates future needs to facilitate the flow of the clinic. Accurately documents events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. Our team specialize in the care of everyone in the family, in every generation, from birth, for life. This position also includes FREE on-site parking!Summary: Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM/ANM (nurse manager/assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Locations for these openings include: * Urology Clinics - Northgate Drive Clinic * Obstetrics & Gynecology / OB-GYN - Heartland Drive Clinic * Family Medicine - Oakdale Road Clinic Pay Grade: 9 https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/merit-pay-planSalary: $39,090.40 - $58,059.20 / Hourly: $18.65 to commensurate (based on years of experience)Minimum Eligibility Requirements * Certification OR * Registration as a Medical Assistant OR * Completion of a recognized one-year Medical Assistant Program OR * Completion of a health care profession program with a curriculum incorporating elements of a Medical Assistant program including but not limited to: pathophysiology, medical terminology, basic pharmacology and medication administration including dose calculation and psychology (include educational transcripts during application process). Special Qualifications * Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards Desirable Qualifications * Previous EPIC experience * Previous phlebotomy experience In order to be considered, applicants must upload resume (under submission relevant materials) that clearly address how they meet the listed required and desired qualifications of this position. Candidates must upload copy of their educational transcripts if they are not certified/registered as a Medical Assistant or if they have not completed a Medical Assistant Program.
