Description:ABOUT USHeadquartered in Long Beach, CA, Redbarn Pet Products, LLC (Redbarn or the Company) is a parent company that holds various manufacturing and distribution companies serving the pet industry. Redbarn is a family-owned and operated Company with private equity sponsorship.POSITION SUMMARYThis position reports to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day accounting activities for the consolidated entity, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and an affinity for problem-solving. This position is located near the Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, California. Remote work is not an option for this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with GAAP.Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections. Monitor aging reports and address any discrepancies or issues.Oversee reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including daily bank account reconciliations. Assist with design and implementation of improved processes and internal controls within the Accounting department. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts. Manage the Company's annual financial statement audit.Perform other duties as assigned by the VP Finance.Requirements:BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.CPA designation.Top 10 accounting firm experience.Three to five years' relevant experience required.Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling, with advanced Excel skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCombination of accounting firm and industry experience.Previous experience with SAP, Sage, or Crystal Reports.Knowledge of cost accounting.Experience with private equity sponsored company.
