The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) is tasked with providing the foundational data platforms and capabilities required to achieve our mission. These include the collecting and storing of data, tools to leverage data for research, analysis and reporting, tools to protect data, and platforms that allow our systems to exchange key pieces of data in order to quote, sell and service our products. The EDS also provides business automation services that simplify manual business processes.The EDS is organized around 4 product portfolios:Data Science and AnalyticsAPIData ServicesBusiness Automation Your work: Be involved in designing and building services in a continuous delivery model on a cloud platform.Partner with leads and architects to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative services which are consistent, maintainable, and highly scalable for various commerce experiences.Work within microservices architecture, domain driven design, and RESTful APIs using Java.Work in a distributed/cloud-based environment, including Amazon Web Services & Kubernetes with high transaction volumes.Use data structures, algorithms, and architecture patterns.Define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility.Use modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests.Practice full DevOps to ensure a culture of testing and releasing software on Amazon Web Services continuously using automation and monitoring.Leverage NoSQL using Amazon Web Services to ensure data storage is designed for security, reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance.Deliver software in a Scrum development process.Perform technical code reviews and pair programming.Partner with other teams to ensure the service ecosystem is loosely coupled and scalable.Be involved in designing, building and automating services in a continuous delivery model on a cloud platform. Designing and developing microservices using spring bootJava/J2EE, Python or NodeJSREST Webservices/GraphQLRequirements GatheringAWS Native Services like LambdaDatabases, including SQL and NoSQLMonitoring tools including New Relic, SplunkApache Camel Messaging Services or ESB experienceKubernetes, OpenShift, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB, MongoDBAutomation/Test tools such as Selenium, cypress, Jest,Mocha, Postman and JMeter.AWS build tools, including Jenkins & MavenUML & Design PatternsBachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $76,860-$114,000.
