About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer / Web Application Firewall (WAF) Information Security Engineer. Our mission is to deliver stable, secure, scalable, and innovative services at speeds that delight and satisfy our customers and unleash the skills potential of our employees.The successful candidate for this position will help deploy, manage, and support enterprise WAF deployments in alignment with enterprise change management policies and procedures. This will include on-prem and cloud-based instances. Additional responsibilities will include participation in WAF-related control execution and periodic assignment to the team on-call rotation. Required Qualifications : 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education2+ years of in-depth knowledge and troubleshooting of HTTP based Web Applications 2+ years knowledge and understanding of implementing WAF signatures or virtual patches2+ years of hands-on experience with Web Application Firewall technologies2+ years of intermediate to advanced level experience with scripting/automation using tools such as: Bash, Ansible, Playbook/Role Development, PowerShell, Python, etc.2+ years advanced understanding of Network concepts like DNS, Firewall and Load Balancing1+ years of proven experience with change and incident management practices in medium to large enterprise environments1+ years of Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies1+ years of basic understanding of TLS, Certificates, and MTLS Desired Qualifications: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsKnowledge and understanding of application firewallsKnowledge and understanding of data security: firewalls and perimeter securityKnowledge and understanding of network or network securityKnowledge and understanding of network security and network protocolsKnowledge and understanding of network security architectures and standards developmentKnowledge and understanding of network security firewall hardware, software, and configurationsKnowledge and understanding of network security including firewalls and IDSKnowledge and understanding of web application: firewall concepts or security certifications3+ years of Information Security Frameworks and standards (FFIEC, NIST, ISO) experience Job Expectations: This position offers a hybrid work scheduleRelocation assistance is not available for this positionJob posting may come down early due to volume of applicantsWillingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening Locations: 250 E.
