Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General,Personal Injury Defense,Trucking and Auto Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in New York City is seeking a Civil Litigation Insurance Defense Attorney. The attorney will be responsible for handling Automobile and Premises Liability cases, preferably in a defense capacity. They must be self-starters with a good academic record and solid legal research and writing skills. Admission to the New York State Bar is required. Duties:Defend clients in Automobile and Premises Liability cases.Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in court.Manage a caseload from inception to resolution.Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.Work closely with clients, experts, and insurance carriers.Provide sound legal advice and strategies to clients.Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.Attend trials and argue motions when necessary.Keep clients informed of case developments. Requirements:Admission to the New York State Bar.2-8 years of experience handling Automobile and Premises Liability cases, preferably in a defense capacity.Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Detail-oriented and organized. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications (optional):Certification in Insurance Defense (preferred but not required). Skills:Proficient in legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage a caseload effectively.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented and organized.
