Summary We are looking for Substitute Teachers to work with children ages 1 to 5 years old on an as-needed basis at multiple locations in the Midlands area . The teacher must have great love and patience for children.Qualifications needed to follow a completed lesson plan effectively and the ability to engage children while earning their trust and attention. Duties Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts, etc.) Follow the schedule and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy environment consistent with health and safety standards Requirements Effective communication and instructional skills Ability to act as a mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable High School Diploma/GED Clear SLED, FBI, and Central Registry background checks Benefits Limited benefits to include: Paid DSS training hours up to 15 hours.
