We are The Ryan Law Group, a full-service Personal Injury law firm located in Manhattan Beach, CA. We are looking for a full-time Litigation Assistant with 2+ years experience working at a Personal Injury law firm to join our growing team!-- Our office is located right at the intersection of Highland and Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach, with a beautiful view of the beach right from our windows. The Strand and the sand are just a two-minute walk away and offer a great way to spend your lunch break!-- Please do not apply for this position if you do not have legal work experience, and/or live far from our office. This is not an entry-level position, and in-office is required. Responsibilities: As a Litigation Assistant at our Firm, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to): --- Work 10 am - 6 pm on-site at our Manhattan Beach office --- Provide administrative and legal support to two attorneys --- Calendar hearings, trials, depositions, and appointments, in Casepeer (our Case Management software) --- Assist counsel in preparing discovery responses, discovery shells, and compiling documentation and information for discovery requests --- Complete electronic court filings at a state level --- Set up and close legal cases, prepare subpoenas, and arrange court reporters for depositions --- Draft court documents, invoices, and enclosures per attorneys' requests --- Conduct detailed client intakes and enter information into the company database --- Manage the reception desk and be responsible for collecting and distributing all incoming correspondence and phone calls --- Organize and maintain case files --- Account for all non-paid and paid invoices, before closing out files --- Prepare checks, letters, and records costs in Casepeer when distributing checks Qualifications: Requirements: --- Must be able to commute to and work in person at our office in Manhattan Beach --- Close attention to detail --- Organized --- Strong communication skills --- Outgoing personality, people person --- Able to multitask --- Good follow-up and follow-through with tasks --- Team player Education and/or Experience: --- At least 2 years of Litigation Assistant experience at another PI firm --- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year university Hours: --- 10 AM - 6 PM About Company: Our work environment includes: Relaxed atmosphere, close to the beachOpportunities for professional growth and developmentBusiness casual work attireSupportive and inclusive workplace cultureView of the ocean from our officePlenty of employee appreciation team bonding activities Benefits: Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid time offOpportunities for raises, bonuses, and other performance incentives
