Job Title: Maintenance Assistant Location: Little Hulton Salary: DOE Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5pm Friday 8.30am–4.30pm The Candidate Previous experience in a previous role. Proven practical skills in areas such as carpentry, decorating and plumbing. Knowledge of hand and power tools and other maintenance and safety equipment Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Driving Licence is required. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Customer service skills. The ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn and develop your skills. Knowledge of general health and safety in the workplace. Role and Responsibilities: The Maintenance Assistant responsible for providing support to a Maintenance Team, maintenance of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure that the building is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. Maintaining grounds by mowing lawns, clearing leaves, and gritting paths when necessary. Inspecting, fixing, and maintaining equipment and machinery. Racking inspection and repairs Comply with all necessary legislation when performing tasks. Completing scheduled maintenance tasks. Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing. Providing information and advice on maintenance issues. Delivering excellent customer service. Painting and decorating or conducting repairs to flooring and other fittings. Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped. Conducting minor repairs. Co-ordinate contractors to ensure all on-site facilities are serviced and repaired as required. Provide support to the sales team during Trade shows by transporting, erecting, and dismantling trade show stands etc. Complete and document monthly health and safety inspections for operational equipment.
